Smart is one of the imported makes we are called out to most in Dubai, and almost always for the same reason: the car turned over slowly for a week and then did not turn over at all.

Where the car has no start-stop system, a good standard battery in the right group size is the sensible choice, and paying for AGM buys durability you will not use.

Two to three years is normal in Dubai. Anything over four is unusual, and a battery that has done three summers should be tested rather than trusted.
