How Long Does Paint Repair Take?

1-2 days for the work itself. It is a workshop job, so add recovery time in each direction; we collect and return the car rather than asking you to drive it.

The honest answer to how long a paint repair takes has two halves: the work, which is predictable, and everything around it, which is where the day actually goes. Here is both.

The work itself

1-2 days on a car with nothing unusual about it. That figure assumes the diagnosis is already done and the right parts are on the van or the shelf — which is why we confirm the car and the fault on the call rather than discovering both on arrival.

What makes it longer

A seized fastener, a part that has to be ordered, or a second fault found while the first is being fixed. We tell you as soon as we know rather than at the end, and if the extra work changes the price you agree to the new number before we carry on.

Touch-up pens make things worse

A touch-up pen leaves a raised blob of unlevelled paint that catches light differently and is harder to repair properly than the original chip. If you care how the panel looks, leave the chip alone until it can be filled, levelled and cleared.

Same day, and out of hours

We run 24/7, every day, and there is no night or holiday surcharge. For a workshop job it means recovery can happen out of hours even when the work itself waits for the morning.

What happens in that time

  • Stone chip and scratch repair down to primer where needed
  • Bumper corner and kerb rash reshaping and refinishing
  • Sun-damaged clear coat stripped and re-cleared
  • Colour matched from the VIN code and blended into the panel

Questions we get asked

How long does a paint repair take in Dubai?

1-2 days for the work. Recovery to the workshop and back is included in that arrangement rather than billed separately.

Can a deep scratch be repaired without repainting the panel?

Often yes. If the damage is localised, we can fill, colour and blend within the panel. Long scratches crossing a body line usually need the full panel to look right.

How long does paint repair take?

A localised repair is typically one to two days including cure time. We do not rush the cure — paint that has not hardened marks the first time you wash it.

Will the repair fade differently to the rest of the car?

Fresh paint is more UV-resistant than the surrounding sun-aged paint, so if anything the repair holds up better. Matching is done against the actual panel, not the code alone, so it starts invisible.
