The honest answer to how long a pre-purchase inspection takes has two halves: the work, which is predictable, and everything around it, which is where the day actually goes. Here is both.
90 minutes on a car with nothing unusual about it. That figure assumes the diagnosis is already done and the right parts are on the van or the shelf — which is why we confirm the car and the fault on the call rather than discovering both on arrival.
A seized fastener, a part that has to be ordered, or a second fault found while the first is being fixed. We tell you as soon as we know rather than at the end, and if the extra work changes the price you agree to the new number before we carry on.
Cars are imported into and exported out of the UAE constantly, and some arrive with water history. Corrosion under carpets, silt in the spare wheel well, cloudy headlamp interiors and mismatched seat-rail bolts are the tells. Separately, a car that has spent ten years outdoors here has heat-cracked dash plastics, perished bushes and cooked rubber regardless of mileage.

Yes for most of the checks. A full underbody and chassis inspection needs a lift, so if the seller will release the car for an hour we would rather do it properly at the workshop.
