Slipping or juddering clutches replaced as a complete kit, not piecemeal. In practice it means complete clutch kit: friction plate, pressure plate, release bearing, plus the checks that confirm the fault was what it looked like.
A clutch that slips under load, judders on take-up or bites right at the top of the pedal is at the end of its life, and because the gearbox has to come out to reach it, the sensible job is the complete kit — friction plate, pressure plate and release bearing — plus the rear main seal if it is weeping. Doing less means paying the labour twice.
