A Kia EV3 battery in Dubai is a two-to-three year part, not a five-year one, and knowing that is the difference between replacing it on a Tuesday afternoon and replacing it in a car park at midnight.

A standard flooded battery in that duty typically fails within a year. AGM or EFB is not an upsell here — it is the specification.
Sportage and Seltos gearboxes want their fluid changed on the shorter interval here; the schedule assumes a cooler climate than this one. For the battery specifically: park in shade where you can, drive far enough to actually recharge rather than only starting the car, and have it load-tested before summer rather than after. A battery that reads 12.4 volts at rest can still fail its load test, and the load test is the one that predicts the morning it does not start.
