Most Chevrolet Blazer EV calls we take start the same way: it turned over slowly for a few days, then one morning it just clicked.
This is very likely a conventional car with no start-stop system, which means a good standard battery in the correct group size does the job. AGM would last longer but you would be paying for cycle life the car never uses.
Large-displacement V8s put enormous heat through the cooling system in summer traffic; radiator condition is worth checking annually. For the battery specifically: park in shade where you can, drive far enough to actually recharge rather than only starting the car, and have it load-tested before summer rather than after. A battery that reads 12.4 volts at rest can still fail its load test, and the load test is the one that predicts the morning it does not start.
The Blazer EV is an SUV, so it carries a physically larger battery than a saloon of the same age and a heavier parked electrical load. That is not a detail — battery choice is driven as much by physical size, hold-down type and parked current draw as it is by cranking amps, and getting one of the three wrong is how a correctly-specified battery ends up failing early.
Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado take high-capacity batteries with a specific hold-down; a smaller substitute physically fits and then vibrates itself to death. On the Blazer EV specifically, which the vehicle database lists across model years 2024 to 2026, the safe approach is to read the label on the battery that is in the car now and match its group size, terminal side and capacity — or to give us the year and let us look it up.
