Model years from roughly 2014 onward are likely to have a start-stop system, and a start-stop car cycles its battery hundreds of times more often than a conventional one. A standard flooded battery in that duty typically fails within a year. AGM or EFB is not an upsell here — it is the specification.
AC condensers sit exposed and collect debris; a clean stack fixes more no-cooling complaints on these than any other single job. For the battery specifically: park in shade where you can, drive far enough to actually recharge rather than only starting the car, and have it load-tested before summer rather than after. A battery that reads 12.4 volts at rest can still fail its load test, and the load test is the one that predicts the morning it does not start.
Battery choice on the 600 is driven as much by physical fit and parked current draw as by cranking amps. We check all three against the car rather than against the model name, because trim levels within one model can take different batteries.
Small batteries with little reserve, so an ageing one goes from marginal to dead quickly in summer. On the 600 specifically, which the vehicle database lists across model years 2005 to 2026, the safe approach is to read the label on the battery that is in the car now and match its group size, terminal side and capacity — or to give us the year and let us look it up.
