We do paint repair across the whole Lexus range, and we quote it per model rather than per brand, because a quote that covers every Lexus equally is a quote that is wrong for most of them.
Every visit includes a battery health test — not a voltage reading, a load test — because a Lexus in Dubai is on a two-to-three year battery cycle and the cheapest time to find a failing one is while somebody is already looking at the car. On the start-stop models in this range that also means checking whether the battery has been registered, because an unregistered replacement is being charged to the wrong profile.
Modern automotive paint is primer, base coat and clear coat. Damage confined to the clear polishes out. Damage into the base coat needs colour. Damage through to primer or metal needs filling and building back up, and in Dubai it needs it quickly, because exposed steel in this humidity starts oxidising within days.
The cloudy, flaking patches you see on roofs and bonnets of cars parked outdoors are UV breakdown of the clear coat. It cannot be polished back — the layer is gone. Left alone it spreads and the base coat underneath begins to fade and chalk, which turns a localised repair into a full panel.
Lexus is a Japanese make, and Lexus cabins are heavily loaded with electronics that draw current parked, so a 12V battery here has a harder life than the mileage suggests. For a paint repair specifically that means we price the parts to the model rather than the badge, and we check the items that go alongside it on this range instead of quoting a flat figure and finding out later.
Often yes. If the damage is localised, we can fill, colour and blend within the panel. Long scratches crossing a body line usually need the full panel to look right.
A localised repair is typically one to two days including cure time. We do not rush the cure — paint that has not hardened marks the first time you wash it.
Fresh paint is more UV-resistant than the surrounding sun-aged paint, so if anything the repair holds up better. Matching is done against the actual panel, not the code alone, so it starts invisible.
