For the battery specifically: park in shade where you can, drive far enough to actually recharge rather than only starting the car, and have it load-tested before summer rather than after. A battery that reads 12.4 volts at rest can still fail its load test, and the load test is the one that predicts the morning it does not start.
Battery choice on the A2 is driven as much by physical fit and parked current draw as by cranking amps. We check all three against the car rather than against the model name, because trim levels within one model can take different batteries.
