A battery that reads 12.4 volts at rest can still fail its load test, and the load test is the one that predicts the morning it does not start.
The Cabriolet is a coupe, and the tighter engine bay means battery height and terminal orientation matter as much as capacity. That is not a detail — battery choice is driven as much by physical size, hold-down type and parked current draw as it is by cranking amps, and getting one of the three wrong is how a correctly-specified battery ends up failing early.
