Car Maintenance on a Hyundai is the same job it is on anything else right up until it is not, and the difference is always in the parts and the tolerances rather than the procedure.
Every visit includes a battery health test — not a voltage reading, a load test — because a Hyundai in Dubai is on a two-to-three year battery cycle and the cheapest time to find a failing one is while somebody is already looking at the car. On the start-stop models in this range that also means checking whether the battery has been registered, because an unregistered replacement is being charged to the wrong profile.
A minor service is oil, filters and fluids — roughly every 10,000 km here. A major adds the items on longer intervals: spark plugs, fuel filter, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid. Most cars want a major every third service or every 40,000 km, whichever comes first, and skipping the major is how a car ends up with six-year-old brake fluid.
At 10,000 km: oil, filters, tyre rotation, brake inspection. At 40,000: add spark plugs, brake fluid, cabin and fuel filters. At 60,000: transmission fluid, coolant, suspension inspection. At 100,000: timing belt if your engine has one rather than a chain, water pump, full ignition system. Missing the timing belt interval is the single most expensive omission on that list.
Hyundai is a Korean make, and Hyundai AC systems cope well but the condensers sit low and collect road debris; a blocked stack is the most common no-cooling cause we find. For a car service specifically that means we price the parts to the model rather than the badge, and we check the items that go alongside it on this range instead of quoting a flat figure and finding out later.
