Every visit includes a battery health test — not a voltage reading, a load test — because a Nissan in Dubai is on a two-to-three year battery cycle and the cheapest time to find a failing one is while somebody is already looking at the car. A metallic grinding noise means the pad backing is on the disc and the disc is now also a purchase. A judder felt through the pedal is disc thickness variation, not pad wear at all, and new pads will not fix it.
Heavy vehicles, sustained high speeds and the specific pattern of hard braking into congestion put more energy through the pads here than average. Heat also cooks the grease out of calliper slide pins, and a seized pin wears one pad to nothing while the other stays thick — which is why we check pins on every job rather than only on request.
