With a range ending in 2011, this is very likely a conventional car with no start-stop system, which means a good standard battery in the correct group size does the job. AGM would last longer but you would be paying for cycle life the car never uses.
Thermal management is well handled, but tyre wear and brake corrosion from regenerative braking are worth watching. For the battery specifically: park in shade where you can, drive far enough to actually recharge rather than only starting the car, and have it load-tested before summer rather than after. A battery that reads 12.4 volts at rest can still fail its load test, and the load test is the one that predicts the morning it does not start.
Battery choice on the F3R is driven as much by physical fit and parked current draw as by cranking amps. We check all three against the car rather than against the model name, because trim levels within one model can take different batteries.
An electric or plug-in BYD still has a conventional 12V battery, and it is the one that leaves the car dead in a car park. On the F3R specifically, which the vehicle database lists across model years 2007 to 2011, the safe approach is to read the label on the battery that is in the car now and match its group size, terminal side and capacity — or to give us the year and let us look it up.
