A Mazda that needs a jump start once will need one again. The question worth answering before you buy anything is whether the battery has stopped holding charge, or whether the charging system stopped filling it.
On most of the range it is under the bonnet, front-left. That matters more than it sounds: the quote you are given over the phone assumes a location, and a battery that turns out to be under a seat or in the boot is a different job. For Mazda, i-ELOOP and i-stop models use a specific battery with a capacitor system behind it, and fitting a conventional battery to one causes the stop-start to disable itself. Most of the current range has a start-stop system, which means AGM or EFB is the floor, not an upgrade — a standard flooded battery in a start-stop car is cycled far beyond what it was built for and typically fails inside a year.

Two to three years is normal in Dubai. Anything over four is unusual, and a battery that has done three summers should be tested rather than trusted.
