Battery choice on the 307 is driven as much by physical fit and parked current draw as by cranking amps. We check all three against the car rather than against the model name, because trim levels within one model can take different batteries.
PSA cars with e-HDi or start-stop need EFB or AGM and a battery reset; a standard battery disables the system. One loud click with bright dashboard lights is the starter. Rapid clicking with dimming lights is the battery or a corroded terminal. Starting fine and then dying while driving is the alternator. We test all three at the roadside before fitting anything, because replacing a healthy battery on a Peugeot 307 with a failing alternator leaves you exactly where you started, two days later.
With a range ending in 2011, this is very likely a conventional car with no start-stop system, which means a good standard battery in the correct group size does the job. AGM would last longer but you would be paying for cycle life the car never uses.
